This page explains what cookies are, the small set of cookies we use on The Plan Hub, and how you can manage them.
1. What cookies are
A cookie is a small text file that a website places on your device so it can remember things about your visit, such as preferences you have set or steps you have taken. Cookies are commonly grouped into strictly-necessary cookies, which a site needs to function, and non-essential cookies, which are used for analytics, personalisation, or advertising.
2. The cookies we use
At this stage The Plan Hub uses a single session cookie. It records whether you have crossed the introductory threshold on the site, so that the page can present the correct view on return. It does not identify you and it is not used for advertising.
We do not run third-party analytics or advertising trackers on the site at this time. If that changes, this page will be updated and, for any non-essential tracker, we will ask for your consent before it is set.
3. Consent under UK PECR
Under the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations, a website can set strictly-necessary cookies without asking, because the site would not work without them. Non-essential cookies require your informed consent before they are placed. Because we currently only use a strictly-necessary session cookie, no consent banner is shown.
4. Managing cookies
You can clear or block cookies in your browser settings. The Information Commissioner's Office publishes plain-English guidance for the public; you can read it at ico.org.uk/for-the-public/online/cookies/. Blocking the strictly-necessary session cookie may stop parts of the site working as intended.
5. Changes
When we add or remove cookies, we will update this page. The date at the top shows when it was last reviewed.
